What copies over to connectMLS?

To help make the transition from Matrix to connectMLS easier, we have been able to copy over some of your work from the old Matrix system. Unfortunately, it is not possible (from a programming perspective) to copy over everything, so there will be some things that you will have to manually recreate within Connect.

What copies over from Matrix:

• Contacts. 
• Saved Searches. 
• Auto Emails.
• Speed Bar shortcuts* 

Note: there is a behind-the-scenes process that constantly finds new/modified contacts, saved searches and auto emails and automatically imports them into connectMLS.

Going forward, we strongly recommend adding any new contacts, saved searches and auto email in connectMLS only.

What does not copy over (these things must be recreated manually in connectMLS):

• Listing Carts- you must create Favorite folders to replace them in Connect. Click here for more information on Favorites. 
• CMAs- we suggest you save a PDF copy of any Matrix CMAs you want to keep. You can use that for reference if you need to recreate the CMA in Connect. Click here for instructions on creating a CMA in connectMLS.
• Widget customizations- if you have customized your Hotsheet or Market Watch widgets on the Matrix home page, you will have to replicate those customizations in the Hotsheet and Market Activity widgets in Connect.

• Custom displays- if you have created any custom displays in Matrix, you will have to recreate them in Connect. Click here for an article on customizing reports in Connect.
• Custom/default searches- if you have add and/or pre-populated fields on your search screens in Matrix, you must manually recreate those customizations in Connect. • Saved Stats searches (Presets).
• Custom exports. If you have set up custom spreadsheets/exports in Matrix, you'll have to recreate them in Connect. Click here for instructions.
• Portal information (such as listings marked with interest or client comments) do not carry over from the Matrix Portal to the Connect Portal.
