When we first introduced the Collaborative Closing feature (click here for a refresher), it was erroneously applied to Residential Rental and Commercial Lease listings (it should only have been a feature for SF, CN and MF listings that are marked Closed on the MLS).
The system has since been updated to not apply the Collaborative Closing process to rental/lease listings, but those listings that were marked Closed prior to this update are still impacted.
If you are the Buyer's Agent on a Residential Rental or Commercial Lease listing that was marked closed prior to the system update, you will still see the notifcation in the Listing Alerts tab of your Bulletins/Updates widget:
However, you will get an error if you click the address:
The error comes up because buyer's agents no longer have the ability to update the closed data on rental/lease listings. The Connect developers are working on a fix that will prevent the notification from appearing in the Bulletins widget for these affected rental/lease listings.
Going forward, list agents can still update the closed data for 30 days after closing, but there will no longer be email notifications or Bulletins widget reminders for closed rental listings.
If updates are necessary, list agents can do so by going to Add/Edit> Change Sales Data:
List agents can also update closed data by going to Add/Edit> View/Manage My Listings & Transactions, clicking the Edit icon and selecting Change Sales Data.
