Agent keeps getting notification emails after client opts out

When one of your clients opts out of receiving any additional emails from the connectMLS system, you will receive an email notification that they have opted out.

It is possible that they opted out by accident, so it is a good idea for you to reach out to them and confirm that they truly do not want to receive any more emails from you from Connect.

If it was an accident, click here for instructions on opting them back in.

However, if they deliberately opted out of future Connect emails, you may receive additional duplicate notification emails regarding their opt out. This will happen if the client is also associated with another agent (or multiple agents) besides you. In this situation, they opted out by clicking the link in an email that they received from another agent (not one of your emails) but they still have an active auto email through you. Every time a match is found for this active search, Connect tries (and fails) to send it to the client, which leads to you receiving repeated opt out notifications.

At this point, you should reach out to the client and confirm their preferences for receiving emails from Connect. If they do not want to receive any more emails, disable their automatic searches and make sure their status is set to Inactive. That should prevent additional opt out notification emails.
