Now that we have multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled as an extra layer of security for logging into SmartMLS, it is important to make sure your web browser is not automatically deleting cookies when you close it. If your browser deletes cookies upon closing, you will be prompted to redo the MFA process every time you log in, even if you have chosen to have the trust period last 24 hours or 30 days.
This article walks you through allowing cookies in each of the three major web browsers- Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox. The Safari browser, which is native to Apple products, does not have a comparable setting for deleting cookies upon closing, so there are no instructions for it.
