If you are the Head Broker of your office/firm and you choose to syndicate your office's listings to IDX sites (agent and brokerage websites), the name of your office and that of the listing agent automatically appear on the listing.
You can also choose to include a contact phone number or email address on your office's listings. This is referred to as listing attribution. connectMLS includes an easy way to manage your office's listing attribution preferences, allowing you to help drive prospective buyers directly to the best point of contact, regardless of where they have seen your listing on the internet.
Click your photo/initials in the top right corner of Connect and select My Settings:
Go to the Manage Office section and click Manage Brokerage's Listing Attribution Preferences:
You have two options to choose from in the center of the screen:
- Choosing the first option (I am responsible for setting preference for all the brokerage's listings) means that the setting you select will apply to all of your brokerage's listings. If you have multiple offices in your organization, the setting you select will apply to all listings within all of your offices.
- Selecting the second option (List Brokers are responsible for setting preference for their listings) allows each individual list agent to set their own listing attribution preference. The preference they choose will apply to all of their listings.
By default, no listing attribution contact information is selected. This means that only the office and agent names will appear on your office's listings when they are displayed on IDX sites. Visitors to the site will not know the best way to reach out for more information. Any additional information you can provide that will help buyers efficiently connect with your office or list agents is crucial, so set up your listing attribution preference as soon as you're able. You can change this setting at any point if need be.

If you want to set the preference for all of your office's listings, put a dot in the first option and then click the Attribution Contact drop down menu:
By default, none of the options are selected. The selection you make will apply to all of your office's listings. If you are in a multi-office organization, this setting will apply to all listings in all of your offices.
Click Save when you're done.
If you would like to leave the attribution preference to your agents, put a dot in the second option. Doing so will remove the Attribution Contact drop-down menu from the screen:
Click Save when you're done.
At this point, it is up to your individual agents to set their attribution preference from their own connectMLS account. The process for agents is very similar to that of Head Brokers. Once they click their photo/initials and go to My Settings, they simply go down to the My Defaults section and click Manage My Listing Attribution Preferences:
They will have the option of selecting their preferred phone number or email address:
