Editing photos so they are in compliance

SmartMLS has rules in place for what is/isn't allowed in photos that appear on listings on our service. We have a program that checks all photos that are entered on listings and alerts us to any that have potential violations. When we find a photo that is not in compliance, we ask the list agent to either alter the photo to crop out the part that is in violation or completely remove the photo.

A lot of times, the vast majority of the photo is just fine- there is just one part of the image that is problematic (a For Sale sign, for instance.). If one of your photos gets flagged for a violation, but it is a photo that you would really like to keep on the listing, you can either crop out the non-compliant part or blur it out so it is not visible or legible.

Note- connectMLS has limited photo editing capabilities, so if you decide to try to blur or crop out a section of a photo, you will need to do it in a separate program before you upload the photo to Connect.
