Shorten expiration date (force listing to expire early)

Neither agents nor Brokers/Managers are able to change a listing's expiration date so it is closer to the current date.

SmartMLS staff are the only ones able to shorten an expiration date, but only if we get the proper paperwork.

We have to have a Listing Change form signed by (at minimum) the Seller and the Broker of the office (the list agent can sign it as well, but that is not required). The Listing Change form is attached to this article.

SmartMLS will not make this type of change without the office's Broker's signature (in addition to the Seller's signature).

You can email the completed form to changes@smartmls.com.

*** The only exception to this is if the list agent made a mistake when entering the expiration date during input, and the correct expiration date is on the Listing Agreement (uploaded to the listing). If this is the case, we do not need any additional paperwork- we can shorten the expiration date according to the Listing Agreement. ***
