If you’ve been contracted by a SmartMLS agent to provide and manage the photos and/or virtual tours on their listing(s), our new connectMLS system gives you a simple interface to meet your agent’s needs.
Go to www.smartmls.com and login with your user name and password.
Click the connectMLS tile.
Go to the top right corner of the Connect home page and click the Transactions icon:
Use the drop-down menu in the upper left corner to filter listings based on their status:
You can also use the second drop-down menu if you’d like to filter by property type.
When you locate the desired listing, click the edit icon on the right side of the screen.
You will then see two options:
Manage Photos
Click Add/Edit Photo.
Click Choose File to Upload to navigate your computer and locate the photo(s) you’d like to upload. You can also drag and drop photos to the Manage Photos screen.
Once the photos are on the screen, you can rearrange them via drag and drop or by using the arrows or numbered boxes on the left side:
When working with a lot of photos, you may find it easier to switch from List View to Grid View. This can be helpful when trying to arrange or reorder the photos.
Click Save Changes in the upper left when you are finished.
For best quality, upload JPEG formats, 1920x1080 pixels in size or larger. Other digital formats (GIF, BMP, TIFF, etc.) and sizes will be automatically converted and resized by the system. There is a 40 photo limit per listing.
Manage Virtual Tours
If you need to upload a virtual tour, click the Add/Edit Virtual Tour button.
There are three virtual tour fields:
The Primary and Additional Virtual Tour fields (highlighted in orange above) poptulate to the MLS and, therefore, must be unbranded. They cannot market anything but the property. There can be no mention of any persons, businesses, services, etc.
The third virtual tour field, Branded Virtual Tour URL, can appear on IDX sites. It is permissible for this tour to include personal/office information.
Virtual tours must be posted to websites that are open to the public (the site cannot require a login in order to access the video).
