How to report a problem with listing data

 

If you come across a listing within connectMLS where you suspect there is a problem with the information that the list agent entered, there is an easy way for you to annonymously report it to SmartMLS Staff for further investigation.

If you ar viewing the Full Detail report, open the Additional Info menu in the upper right and click Report a violation:

You will get a form to fill out, including a Comment section that allows you to elaborate on the issue:

Note: there is a field at the bottom of the form where you are asked to enter your own MLS ID. The purpose of this is so we can confirm with you that we have received the report you sent in and let you know that we will follow up with the list agent to correct any data issues.

The process is completely confidential. When working with the list agent, we never reveal who reported the issue with their listing.

 

After you are done, click the Report Violation button in the top right of the window. You will immediately get a confirmation on your screen:

Click Close and you're all set! There is nothing additional for you to do. We will pick it up from there and work with the list agent to resolve any issues on the listing. We will not follow up with you during or after the process, even after any changes have been made to the listing as a result of your report. You are welcome to reach out to our Complince Team if you would like to follow up on the issue.
